After 21 years I’m moving out of my parents’ house. It’s a really weird feeling. I mean I’ll be coming back every other weekend and am only moving an hour away, but it’s really exciting and scary. I’m heading out at 5am tomorrow to move into my new place in Natchez!

Good luck buddy. Keep us posted.
Driving 1 hour to do laundry and raid the fridge at your parent's house every weekend will be in your very near future lol :]

Congrats! When I moved out I was over 1000 miles from my parents. It was interesting. Now I’m back home, though there were health reasons for that.

Will you be living alone?

No, I’ll be sharing a house with a friend!

Ah, that’s much better. I first moved out when I was 20 and got one of my granddad’s apartments (still live in it), I nearly went insane after a couple months.

Question numero uno: Does the place have a dish washer?

No, but it does have a washer and dryer!

It’s good you’re looking on the bright side of things, but hand washing will get tiring. Very. Very quickly. My recommendation: mount a 19 inch monitor/TV or a tablet stand right by the sink. At the very least, some sort of music-projecting device.
:D

I moved out when I was 21 too. I was sharing an apartment with a friend and his gf. I went back to my parents house maybe 2 nights. The original plan was to go back a couple weekends a month to wash clothes. Anyway after 2 times it just felt weird to go back there, and I started using the shared laundry room at the complex.

Congrats dude! Is your housemate an jalop?

Congrats. Don’t pay attention to StoneCold’s comment about the dishwasher. There are many more pressing issues you will deal with. Besides that, dirty dishes tend to cure themselves. No clean dishes, no eat. simple.

Dat’s good man. In time you won’t want to come back at all. I moved out at 18 half way across Canada, but that’s me. Everyone is different glad to see you getting out on your own.

I have lived out for 10 years now and never had a place with a dishwasher. What is this luxury you speak of?

Lol “hand washing will get tiring” that’s how I’ve done it all my life too and it’s only tiring if you let the dishes pile up for days like some sort of mental deviant, wash your dishes the same day and you’re good.

I’ve been through that and it is a very strange feeling....
But, you get used to it. And once that happens, you start realizing everything you
can’t
do at your parent’s house lol

Yeah. There’s just me here now, but when I used to live with the girlfriend I did both mine and hers. It wasn’t so bad. Come to think of it, I did most of the work in that relationship....then she broke up with me.
Good thing she did then :D
